The National Green Tribunal has ordered no new registration of Diesel Cars in National Capital Delhi till 6th of January. NGT said, there would be no re-registration of the 10 years old Diesel Car in Delhi. Is this sufficient for controlling pollution in Delhi? The roads of national capital are overcrowded by the cars registered in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi itself. In this situation does banning new registration of Diesel car in Delhi does make any sense ?
To skip the Odd and Even Number Car Formula Delhiite can buy two cars of the different number. In case of NGT's new order people can get the Diesel cars from the Noida, Gurgaon or Faridabad. People can use the cars which are registered in UP and Haryana. Its all of us who has fight against Pollution ourself. As it is said, the charity begins at home. We all should switch to Public Transport instead of using personal cars. If banning Diesel cars can help out in fighting pollution then State and Central Government should take such steps together. Banning registration of Diesel car in a single state like Delhi, seriously doesn't make any sense!

Exactly Rajat, banning Diesel or following China's Odd Even number policy won't be an adequate measure to curb pollution in Delhi. Instead, promoting public transport like buses and Metro Rail will be helpful in long run.
