Banning Diesel Car : Is it sufficient ?

The National Green Tribunal has ordered no new registration of Diesel Cars in National Capital Delhi till 6th of January. NGT said, there would be no re-registration of the 10 years old Diesel Car in Delhi. Is this sufficient for controlling pollution in Delhi? The roads of national capital are overcrowded by the cars registered in Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi itself. In this situation does banning new registration of Diesel car in Delhi does make any sense ?

To skip the Odd and Even Number Car Formula Delhiite can buy two cars of the different number. In case of NGT's new order people can get the Diesel cars from the Noida, Gurgaon or Faridabad. People can use the cars which are registered in UP and Haryana. Its all of us who has fight against Pollution ourself. As it is said, the charity begins at home. We all should switch to Public Transport instead of using personal cars. If banning Diesel cars can help out in fighting pollution then State and Central Government should take such steps together. Banning registration of Diesel car in a single state like Delhi, seriously doesn't make any sense!

  1. Exactly Rajat, banning Diesel or following China's Odd Even number policy won't be an adequate measure to curb pollution in Delhi. Instead, promoting public transport like buses and Metro Rail will be helpful in long run.

The Gas Chamber Delhi : Looser or Winner!

From 1st of Jan. 2016 the odd and even numbered vehicles will ply on Delhi roads on alternate days. The decision of Capital's government is much appreciable.  Don't abandon the next generation from fresh air. ( Image Source ) There are few places in the world where the same had been tried but it couldn't last long. Delhi has the challenge to manage with new rule. Delhi will face many problems too in making this initiative successful. Many will buy vehicles with odd and even number as Bagota, capital of Columbia and Mexico City. Might Delhi government would shut down it with in one or two day as happened in Pairs in 1997 and March 2014. Some Delhiite may spit on government for not improving public transport and making such new rule but this is the time to make a clear stand against pollution. Making effort for making gas chambered Delhi pollution free will catch the eyes from the world. It is the time for all Indians, specially Delhiites to make this experiment su...

So here it is... back after almost a year... The last time I opened my blog and wrote a piece   (सरकारी प्रेम कहानी)  was Sept. 20th, 2017... Representative Image (Credit: Digit ) It was a lazy noon of Sunday and Vikas was tired of being home for the last four days. He had no one to talk to and nothing to do in these four days. So this Sunday evening he decided to call his old friends... but which old friends? On the journey of accomplishing the  Busy Professional tag, he had lost contact of almost everyone from his university. But in the desire to talk with some old friends, he started scrolling down his 600-contacts phonebook, and all of sudden his finger stopped at the name of a person whom he met only once in 2015. This name was "Shama Khan, Noida" He paused for a minute and scenes from 2015 started to run through his mind. Shama Khan, The same Shama Khan who was not merely his Facebook friend but also a senior in the industry, made his finger stop at...
